MOOD AND COLOR

Mood rings are crystal rings that have been designed to change color as your mood and body temperature alters. Common colors and moods shown on the rings are red for anger, blue for calmness and black for stress or tenseness. Most people believe mood rings are a harmless and fun way to find out emotions. However, there can be consequences. People wearing the mood ring might portray an emotion around someone revealing their true feelings.
After doing research on mood rings and feelings, I discovered a concept I had never heard. There are four different types of lies. They are white lies, gray lies, black lies and red lies. White and gray lies are lies that we use to protect our peers and ourselves. Red lies are out of revenge, harming yourself while harming another. Black lies cause harm to another due to selfishness. In my photograph, I wanted to show a couple that seems happy. In the photo you can see the female character has her hands around her boyfriend seeming to be in love. However, upon looking at the mood ring you see it is black. I wanted to show a story of a girl who is lying to her boyfriend about how she feels towards him. The female character is cheating on the male character. The black color of the ring means she is tensed and stressed while hugging him when her ring should be blue promoting the calmness she should feel around him. Also, her ring shows that she is performing a black lie to her boyfriend since she is with another man. She is cheating out of her own selfishness and the innocent male character has no idea.
